Introduction of Wuhan zoo

Part I

      Wuhan zoological garden is animal kingdom situated in a semi-natural island and developing to feeding animal freely. Three hundred sorts of animals and over four thousand animals are displayed. There are performing birds and seals and other animals .It now occupies an area of 80 hectare including land and lake. Wuhan zoological garden is unique place for wild animals to live in. There are lots of trees and flowers in the garden. Birds sing freely in the trees. Wuhan zoological garden not only displays and protects animals but advocates animal knowledge and research in wild animal science. Wuhan zoological garden is one of the eight biggest zoological gardens in our country.

Part II

1. Land-animal performing buil

You can appreciate,

a.      Siberian tigers jump through firing-circles, ride, slide and so on.

b.     Lions jump through firing-circles, ride and so on.

c.     Black bears box each other, walk on the steel wire, play with the desk and so on.

d.     Dogs learn words, do sums and so on.

e.      Monkeys play the basketball, ride on bicycles and so on.

f.       Elephant puts on hat for children, massages the visitor slightly

2. The garden animals fed freely

In the northern of the garden there are lions, tigers and in the southern live ostriches, emus, kinds of deer, camels and so on. You can visit the garden by train and feed chicken, rabbits to the lions, tigers.

3. Sea animal performing building

The building can seat one thousand people. Here major programs are ¡°welcome¡± ¡°present their compliments¡±, ¡°kiss visitors¡±, ¡°play the piano¡± ¡°walk like human¡±, ¡°dance in the water¡±, and so on.

The performance has five times every day during festivals, half past nine, half past eleven in the morning, and half an hour, half past four, half past five in the afternoon.

4. Birds performing garden

In the birds performing garden you can appreciate about 30 programs, for example parakeets take the plane, raise national flag and so on, which will bring happy to you.

The performance has seven times during festivals every day.

5. Crocodile performing building

Crocodile performing building was built recently. Here there are 8 feral crocodiles. The programs are human riding on the crocodiles, sleeping with crocodiles and so on.

6. Landscape garden

It occupies an area of 20 hectare. In the garden display all kinds of trays, about 12 thousand, about one hundred rare stones and about 3 hundred root sculptures.

7. Swan lake

The swan lake of Wuhan zoo occupies an area of 100 hectare, which is biggest swan lake in china, including over 400 square meters island.

There are three hundred rare black swans, and about two hundred white swans and other rare birds protected in china.

8. Giant panda building

The giant panda, ¡°du du¡±, lives in the giant panda building, which occupies an area of one thousand square meters and costs 1.5million yuan

The giant panda is eight years old

In Wuhan zoo you can also appreciate the red panda, golden monkeys, giraffes, zebras and so on.
